Zocalador (Liner Model)

01 - The construction is all non-ferrous metal. The finish was studied to make the act of mold extremely easy. Therefore, their parts were blasted with glass beads and then chromed. No need for release agent.
02 - Tests done in our laboratory demonstrate finishing the model looks polished-satin. In measurements we found maximum variation of 0.8 (eight) tenths of a millimeter between the equivalent segments.
03 - If there is need to correct this difference, occluding models with a wax bite, sand with rotating and mild or putting forward, and sand back against the body of the operator on the sandpaper. First use sandpaper 280 or 320 to set and then sandpaper 400 to 600 for obtaining better brightness, supported on a flat surface and immersed in a pan with water. Then do the normal finish. Remove excess, cover blisters, outline the teeth, etc..

04 - To avoid possible deformations, we suggest that your Zocalador NOT be suspended or transported by pressing the handles near the region of the anterior segments (photo 1). Make it closer to the posterior regions. When removing the wax is for a space. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAMPER WITH OCCLUSION, or break occurs. Do not wash holding in the anterior region, causes the Zocalo open like the first stage of assembly.

05 - Among the corners and handle, with the lateral-posterior segment there is a void, where it is common plaster to fall. To avoid breakage, do not hit the residue of plaster. It is best to avoid putting pink wax or similar and thus close the space above. With this we avoid strikes to remove the plaster.

06 - WARNING: Place one or two drops of thin oil (like sewing machine) or petroleum jelly (photo 2) and one or two times a week, also lubricate the four screws on the handles.

SPECIFICATIONS

07 - The Zocalador is produced in seven sizes: Mini (MI), Small (P), Medium (M), Large (G), Intermediate (IN), Extra (E) and Giant (GIG). Pay attention to the measures in the table below, where all measurements are in millimeters, and have tolerance of about 1 (one) mm.

08 - The hinge we have 2 (two) back plates serve to maintain the base after the plane as possible and in 900 (ninety degrees) with the upper and lower bases of the model. These plaques are also the guide for the rule of acrylic, the side of the hinge on which these plates are welded and the handle will set out for the first stage of assembly, for example, placing the handle in the lower side (as shipped from the factory) the first arch to be mounted is lower.

09 - For orthopedics, or if your first choice is to mount the top, place the handle on the top that uses the rule, and the lower the other side. In practice, the right to analyze the arcade with better symmetry and mount it first. For questions, please contact our Technical Department.

HOWTO

10 - For easier reading, this part drives the assembly of the model as the Zocalador is shipped. See items 08 and 09.

11 - Knocking out the top and bottom molds of the patient, leaving the arches in plaster with a slight retention remove all excess.

12 - Choose the size of the Zocalador as appropriate size of the arch of the patient. Make sure that the knurled nuts of the handles are slightly tight until the end.

13 - Supporting the liner models open on a flat and smooth. Place the arcade below the prepared gypsum and hydrated - not wet - (flowing water) in the acrylic ruler, holding it with a rubber band in the form of X, the ruler have four deductions for non-elastic flow. Center the arcade respecting midline and posterior length, about one centimeter (see cross-trait later rule search distribute the tension of the elastic uniformly). Place the ruler with the arcade in the Zocalador to check their position relative to the size of the handle. Remove the rule being careful not to decentralize the arcade. Pour the plaster in the Zocalador vibrating handle it with a spatula, put the rule with the same arcade to be supported at the hinge and lying in the tube joint (hinge), to obtain the 90° (ninety degrees) between the midline or the sagittal plane with the posterior base.

2nd Option: Place the handle plaster leaving you with enough consistency to support the weight of the arch (the practice will show the correct amount). Download arcade on the plaster, vibrates slightly to settle down, put the ruler on the arcade and to press the points of support, with your thumbs on the ruler to do with the centralization indicators (photo 3).

(photo3)

14 - With a spatula, and before they take the plaster stuck, remove the excess plaster lateral, posterior and deep entrance, followed by the metal edge of the Zocalador (the closer to the edge burr will be less). Immediately smooth the plaster to wet your finger with a latex finger stall or wet with a small brush of hair and thin. Note: Try these three tips to find your best fit.

15 - After smoothing the first part, the whole wash in running water, then occlude the top model with wax occlusion in lower hold with elastic. Pour the plaster in the other handle and close (rotate the first stage ready) on the soft cast on opposite handle (repeat item 14).

WITHDRAWAL OF THE MODEL

OPTION 1:

(photo4)

16/1- Wait 30 to 40 minutes approximately (depending on temperature). Then unscrew and remove the knurled nuts of one of the handles, as shown in photo 4, next.
16/2- Move the handle top or bottom hinge and put even with the model on the table.
16/3- Rest your thumbs on the screws and the indicators on the handle, near the lateral segments and make a slight movement to open the handles and gently pull it out of the model (photo 5) do the same with the other handle.

OPTION 2:

(photo5)

OPTION 2:
17/1- Drop a little (two or three laps) nuts bottom handle, make a small movement to remove the handle of the hinge, this will open a few millimeters. Remove the template and do the same with the other handle.
17/2- If the handle does not open after loosening of course, do the same the picture 5, but without removing the hinge. The 2nd option will save you time. TRY!
It is important for those who never made a model in the Zocalador using test models. So we will avoid the loss of the arch and the need to re-shape the patient.
1 - Pour instead of one, three pairs of arches in the same molding and save the first one to use after doing two tests;
2 - Proceed with the preparation of two tests (after the second and third arch) in the Zocalo, following guidance from the demo video (link) or instructions (link);
3 - The two test models are enough to learn, but still any doubt please contact (link).
4 - Mount the first pair of arches that were separated. We are confident that now shows a positive result.
